Trips >> United Kingdom >> Three Peaks Challenge

Your Three Peaks Challenge starts here ...

The Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon) are the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to climb these peaks back to back....

"Just a quick email to thank you for a fantastic few days doing the 3 Peaks. It was a brilliant trip and great to feel that something has been accomplished! "

With the Challenge you attempt to complete each peak consecutively. We travel to Fort William on the Friday (see our travel section below for more details on this), start with Ben Nevis on the Saturday morning, climb Scafell Pike that night and finish Snowdon on Sunday in Wales! After this we do a drop off in Manchester on the way back. A mad trip -  but a lot of fun. We aim to complete Ben Nevis in 5hrs, Scafell Pike in 4hrs and Snowdon in 3 hrs.  We also complete this event over more relaxed timescales. For details see further below.

5 Day Trip

A real holiday! The way to do it and really enjoy the sights. We meet on the Sunday afternoon and finish on the following Friday afternoon. This trip allows us to really appreciate the mountains, and have a shower before enjoying a nice evening meal with a drink. It doesn't mean the walking is easy, as we still have to climb the same mountains, but the transport can be done on the 'rest days' and we also have a chance to to have a look at Ambleside/Keswick and Betws Y Coed.

● Anywhere on the M6, M74 and A82 between Manchester and Fort William
● Manchester Picadilly station (~9-10:00)
● Glasgow Int airport (~3:00pm)

If you are based in the South of the UK we recommend you fly to Glasgow International airport and then catch the return train from Manchester. This saves you a lot of time in the vehicle.

Drop off points are:

● Anywhere on the A55 and M56 between Snowdonia and Manchester
● Manchester airport/station

Alternative pick up and drop off points can be discussed upon request.

Pick up times are the day before the event and drop off is afternoon of the event finish. We aim to finish in Snowdon by mid afternoon on the last day of each event, and therefore your drop off should be no later than 7/8pm on the Sunday evening. However, no guarantees!
