We travel to Fort William on the Friday, starting with Ben Nevis on the Saturday morning, climb Scafell Pike Saturday night and finish Snowdon on Sunday in Wales!

This is a tiring event and people participating should have the necessary fitness. We aim to complete each of the mountains within 3-6 hours; however this will depend upon the speed of the group.

The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders and there is a transport vehicle with separate driver with you throughout the challenge.

Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain and stands 1344m high, rising from sea level at Loch Linnhe and towering over the town of Fort William.

Going from the bottom to the top of the mountain you pass through 4 different vegetation zones. There is snow on the summit for much of the year; indeed it is not uncommon to find 8 feet of snow on the top during April. Every year we run summer ascents of Ben Nevis, led by qualified mountain leaders.

Our ascent from the visitor centre avoids the foreboding cliffs seen in the photographs, and follows a walking route that will take approximately 6-8hrs at a steady pace (the key to progress on a mountain is steady pacing and not speed and pause).

If you are lucky with the weather then the views from the summit, and even from half way up, are quite stunning. On a good day you can see all the way to the majestic rock spires of The Isle of Skye and looking the other way, down Loch Linnhe to the Irish Sea.

The trip is fully guided by an experienced mountain leader with lots of experience on Ben Nevis!

The 2011 dates for this trip are 17-19 June &12-14 August.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the three highest peaks in Yorkshire in one day. These peaks are

  • Pen-Y-Ghent
  • Wharfdale
  • Inglebrook

To complete this route is to undertake one of the great outdoor challenges of the UK. It will be a tough day, but worth it for that feeling of satisfaction upon completion.

The scenery is dramatic and ever changing, wildlife abounds as do carpets of flowers encouraged by the nutrient rich soils of the Limestone pavement.

We start and finish in the sleepy village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, from here we can observe much of the route that lies waiting for discovery.

Upon our return to Horton, there will be transfers to your nearby accommodation where an evening meal can be enjoyed. All transfers during the trip are provided and all are short.

The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders.

The 2011 dates for this trip are 20-22 May, 17-19 June & 12-14 August.

Best of Hadrian's Wall

This is a guided, fully supported walk taking in the highlights of Hadrian's Wall. The route passes through some of Northern England's most beautiful scenery and enjoys some of the finest and best preserved sections of the wall.

We choose to walk it West to East to hopefully take advantage of the prevailing winds.

The walking varies from well established tracks and roads to fields and hill tracks, and is quite simply beautiful. If you haven't had the chance to see Northern England or Hadrian's Wall, this is a great way to enjoy it.

For those short on time and unable to complete the length of wall in one go, this is a great alternative, a quick fix.

The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders and there is a transport vehicle with separate driver with you throughout the challenge.

The 2011 dates for this trip are 16-20 June, 11-15 August & 16-19 September.

15 Peaks Challenge

There are 15 peaks in the Welsh mountains over 3000ft high. This is a quite beautiful mountain route passing through some remote areas, mostly on fairly vague tracks.

We aim to complete this challenge in three days. It's physically tiring but a great achievement. In the evening we can relax and reflect on the achievements of the day.

The Welsh peaks offer some of the finest mountain scenery in the UK and this is a great way to enjoy them. If you have tried or done the 'The Three Peaks' and would like another challenge which reduces the amount of time you have to spend in a vehicle, then this may be the one for you!

The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders.

The 2011 dates for this trip are 9-12 June, 21-24 July & 8-11 September.

Lake District 3000ers

The English peaks offer some of the finest mountain scenery in the UK and this is a great way to enjoy them. Made famous by Wainwright, amongst others, it has hundreds of fells which create a vast terrain of rugged mountains.

There are 4 fells (according to Wainwright!) which exceed the 3000ft mark. These can be climbed in a 3 day trip, meaning you have then climbed the 4 highest peaks in England.

The mountains in question, in order of height, are:

1. Scafell Pike, 3210ft
2. Sca Fell, 3164ft
3. Helvellyn, 3118ft
